Description The Great War Victory medal to Rifleman Percy Edward Hughes, King’s Royal Rifle Corps. Medal named to – R-32657 PTE. P. E. HUGHES. K. R. RIF. C. Rifleman Percy Edward Hughes, D Company, 2nd Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps, was taken prisoner at Nieuport on the 1st October 1917 (War Office Daily List No. 5395, 23rd October 1917) and was sent to Dulmen prison camp also at Termonde He died in captivity 4th November 1918 and he is Remembered with Honour at NIEDERZWEHREN CEMETERY, KASSEL, III. H. 7. Germany. Hughes was born, 6th October 1895, at Frampton Mansell, Setterton, nr Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
